About Les Merson

Les Merson is an award-winning marketing communications consultant whose clients have included Simon Fraser University, British Columbia Institute of Technology, the BC Lottery Corporation, BC Hydro, the Vancouver Aquarium, the Pacific National Exhibition, the Vancouver Canucks and a host of small and medium-sized businesses.

Les is a passionate educator who has developed curriculum and taught both marketing and graphic design courses at local colleges. He is most proud of co-developing Stenberg College’s Community Mental Health & Addictions Worker program in collaboration with Portland Hotel Society & Lookout Emergency Aid Society.

A graduate of the Langara College Documentary Film Production program, Les is an award-winning filmmaker who has directed and produced compelling and inspiring documentaries and corporate videos. He is also a graduate of Langara College’s Digital Music Production program.

In 2015, Les and his marketing team were recognized as an Inclusive Business Leader in Surrey, Delta and White Rock and awarded the Innovative Labour Solutions Award as an inclusive employer who exemplifies diversity in the workplace. He was nominated again in 2016.

Most recently, Les received his Master of Arts (MA) from Simon Fraser University’s Graduate Liberal Studies program.
